Get your entries in for the industry’s most prestigious awards event.
Are you proud of your achievements over the past year? Then it’s time to enter the Building Services Awards 2002, the industry’s Oscars.

This year’s winners will be unveiled at a glittering gala dinner in the Great Room of Le Meridien Grosvenor House Hotel on 1 July. It may seem a while away yet but 29 March, the closing date for entering an award (closing date for the Apprentice of the Year Award is 28 February), is looming large, so it’s time to get busy and send in your entries.

This year, in addition to the 14 regular awards, there are three new categories in which to pit your wits against your industry rivals.

The new award categories are: the IT in Building Services Award, for innovative use of IT to improve your service; the Health and Safety Initiative, to reward the organisation that has done most to improve its approach to safety issues and meet the government’s targets for the reduction of accidents on site; and the Engineers Taking the Lead Award, which will be presented to the individual whom the editors of EMC and Building Services Journal feel has done most to promote the profession over the last 12 months. Other entries will be judged by a panel of industry experts.

Sponsors so far include: Daikin, Carrier, the HVCA, Andrews Water Heaters, the Construction Best Practice Programme, Dalkia, the ECA, MK, Toshiba and Wilo.

An entry form is included in this issue of EMC or you can telephone 01242 577277 for further copies. Good luck and see you on the big night.
