Architect who helped redesign Roundhouse and Trellick Tower moves to HOK

HOK has poached a key member of John McAslan and Partners' heritage team.

Mark Cannata worked on some of McAslan's most high-profile refurbishment projects, including the RIBA Award-winning Roundhouse and Erno Goldfinger's Trellick Tower.

The architect will become head of conservation and regeneration at HOK, which has redeveloped buildings such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the King's Library at the British Museum and the Ministry of Defence headquarters.

Andrew Barraclough, director of public buildings at HOK, said: “Mark will help us to build on our significant portfolio of work in this sector and expand our capability in finding new, creative and sustainable ways to extend the life of existing buildings.”
