Tim Smith has been appointed group bid manager, a newly created role within McNicholas Construction Group.

Ballast has appointed Richard Potts regional managing director. He succeeds Mike Middlemiss who has recently retired.

Redrow Homes has appointed Robert Monkman, former managing director of its Eastern division, managing director for South Midlands, based in the Northampton office. Rhys Smith has been appointed land director also based in Northampton.

Anne Waterhouse (left) has been promoted to divisional finance director of Fairclough Homes' Yorkshire division.

Gleeson Homes North West has promoted Ian Noscoe, customer care manager, to its new management team.

Mike Freshney, chairman of the NHBC's Building Control Services has been appointed to the board of Beechcroft Developments as non-executive director.

Trevor Dodkins, previously with Countryside Properties, has joined restoration specialist City & Country Group as chief planner.

Architect Chris Matson has rejoined multidisciplinary consultant TPS Consult Scotland. He will assist on design of several projects for the Scottish Prison Service.

Rachel Salter (left) has been appointed area sales manager in the housing division of utilities consultant Core Utility Solution's north-west region.

Building consultant Structuretone has appointed Stephen Cooper, previously with Interior, and Mark Ballantine, formerly of Wates Interiors to help spearhead the growth in hotel and residential markets.

Kate Morris has joined consultant White Young Green Environmental as senior acoustic engineer in the Leicester office. In addition, Tony Fox has been promoted to associate in the Manchester office.
