Contractor
Developer Stanhope has made two appointments. Brett Wharton joins from developer Bechtel as property executive in the operations team. Benjamin Lesser joins as a design architect.

Housebuilders
James Sinclair is the new land director for the Thames Valley, South Thames and North Thames regions at Beechcroft Developments.

Simon Richardson has been appointed regional land manager with responsibility for the South-west at Chase Homes. He was previously land manager for Bovis Homes in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

Westbury has appointed Dr John Ferrie independent non-executive board director. Dr Ferrie is group managing director at Smiths Aerospace.

Consultants
Construction financial services provider B&CE has appointed Sharon Copland-Jones to the board. The first female board member, she will replace Donald Stradling who is retiring after 20 years service.

Construction and property consultant RLF has made four appointments. Tony Milward and Kevin Campbell have been made partners at the London and Birmingham offices respectively. Paul Chesworth and Paul Jackson have been made associate partners at the Liverpool office.

Director of PCM safety Ian Watson has been appointed chairman of the RICS Health and Safety Forum board.

Arthur Taylor, a director of door and window handle maker HOPPE (UK), has been elected president of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers for 2004/5.

Solid surfacing distributor Sylmar has appointed Nick Butler managing director.

Rachel Hatton has joined office interior specialist Logic Office Group as general manager at the Contracts North Division. Paul Hague joins as sales manager.
