Mark Baker has been appointed operations manager of the M&E division of utilities company McNicholas Construction Services.

Housebuilders

Affordable housing provider Lovell has appointed Rob Moore (right) business development manager for the company’s Midlands region. He is based at the company’s regional office in Halesowen, Birmingham.

Ian Smith has joined Kent-based Gillcrest Homes as construction manager. He leaves Crest Nicholson after 14 years.

Consultants

Creating:Excellence, the regeneration centre for the South-west, has appointed Dominic Murphy executive director ahead of its launch at the end of this month.

Richard Gale has joined GHM Consultancy Group as an associate director. He will be based in the Leeds office.

John Nielsen has been promoted to partner at consulting engineer Cundall Johnston & Partners. He is both the chairman of the North-east region of the Association of Planning Supervisors and a member of the Construction Industry Council.

Civil engineer TA Millard has made three appointments at the firm’s Sevenoaks office: Trevor Bradley joins as senior structural engineer; Simon Moon as a graduate engineer; and Margaret Bottone (left) as a CAD technician.

Paul Kilner has been appointed director of the Planning Portal, the government’s online “one stop shop” for planning information and services.

Architectural aluminium and stainless steel specialist Neaco has appointed Stephen Boyce technical sales representative for Scotland.

Insulation board maker Celotex has appointed Nick Wells sales representative for north-west England.
