Willmott Dixon has appointed Nick Gibb preconstruction manager. He will be based at the company’s regional offices in Birmingham and Leeds.

Kieran Brophy has been appointed managing director of Kirby MacLean, the specialist decorating subsidiary of contractor Mansell.

Operations manager Jim Petterson, site manager Ken Brumby and 3D design co-ordinator Chris Piggins have joined the Newcastle office of Kajima Construction.

Housebuilders

Affordable housing developer Iceni Homes has appointed Bill Frame (right) chairman.

He was formerly a councillor and leader of Colchester council.

Fred Veevers has been appointed construction director at Basingstoke-based Redrow Homes (Southern).

Consultants

Gateshead council has appointed Adam Clemerson to the newly created post of specialist recruitment adviser for the construction sector.

Multidisciplinary consultant Ridge has made Ken Wells an associate, based at the London office.

Adrian Spurrier joins as associate in the quantity surveying division.

Leeds-based architect and building surveyor Watson Batty has appointed Chris Eglin (left) managing director of Watson Batty Surveying. He leaves surveyor Watts & Partners after six years in charge of its Leeds office.

Multidisciplinary consultant Tuffin Ferraby Taylor has appointed two building surveyors: Phillip Lascelles at the head office in Kingston upon Thames; and Stuart Turner in the Birmingham office.

Institution

The Design Commission for Wales has appointed Alan Francis, founding partner of Cardiff and London-based Gaunt Francis Architects, to the post of co-chair of the design review panel. He will serve a two-year term in the post.
