Midas Group has promoted Alan Hope to chief executive.

Colin Bradshaw has joined McNicholas Construction Services as operations director for planning and design in the communications division.

Architect Sheppard Robson has promoted eight staff to associates. They are: Daniel Burr, Ulf Eickelberg, Justin Gurney, Catherine Hennessy, Catherine Nikolaou, Tony O’Brien, Jason Speechly-Dick and David Taylor.

Frances Button has been made a partner in the Leeds office of construction law firm Pinsent Masons.

Facilities manager GSH Group has appointed Rob Greenfield national health and safety manager.

Jolyon Brewis and Mark Middleton have been promoted to directors of architect Grimshaw. Vincent Chang and Mark Husser have been made principals in the practice’s New York office.

Five staff have been promoted in the Glasgow office of engineer Buro Happold. Allan Follett has been made an associate; Tom Hay and Adrian Taylor have become senior engineers; Geoff Crow is now an engineer and David Froggatt has been made a disability design consultant. In the practice’s Leeds office, Sarah Cropley and Jason Singleton have joined as associates.
