Mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor Vallectric has appointed Roy Carter operations director with responsibility for the company’s M&E building services and housing projects in southern England. Andrew Ball will take equivalent responsibility for Vallectric’s activities in the North. Mark Harbige has been appointed business manager for housing projects in the South.

Multidisciplinary consultant White Young Green has made Andy Strange an associate in the Bristol planning office. Hannah Smeed has become a senior planner in the Leeds office.

Neil Afram, president of the HEVAC Association and managing director of Space Airconditioning has taken over the presidency of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations, HEVAC’s umbrella association, for 2005/06.

John MacLean, managing director of Decra Roof Systems, has also become managing director of the Decra Product Division for the Danish roofing manufacturer Icopal.
