Building contractor Linford Group has appointed Simon Linford executive chairman. Simon represents the fourth generation of the Linford family to take the helm of the family building business, which operates across the Greater Midlands, the North West and North Wales.

Castleway Construction has announced the appointment of Richard Wood to the board of directors. He joined Castleway in February 2004 as construction manager.

Kent-based social housing contractor United House has appointed two directors, Stephen Knight and Tony Martin to its board.

Robinson Design Group, the North-based multidisciplinary professional building design company, has appointed David Jones (right) to head up its group marketing.
