Mike Davies has joined PCM Safety, a specialist safety services provider, as a senior planning supervisor. He will be based in Clerkenwell and joins the company after spending four years at AYH in a similar role.

McBains Cooper has appointed Adrian Bates director of cost management in its London office. Previously Bates managed his own multidisciplinary consultancy.

Architect Sheppard Robson has named two new partners: Lee Bennett, who joined the company in 2002, and Alan Shingler, who is currently director of sustainability at the company.

Multidisciplinary firm Terence O’Rourke has appointed Tim Rogers geographical information systems assistant.

Institution

The Chartered Institute of Building has made Roger Flanagan, professor of construction management at Reading University its 103rd president. Flanagan is also a member of Skanska’s board of directors and a non-executive member of engineer Halcrow’s board of directors.
