As an informed client, am I the only person fed up with hearing how great Laing O’Rourke is and how inspirational Ray O’Rourke is?

And why the hype about Laing O’Rourke’s radical innovation group? Is he the first to espouse collaborative working? Has no other company been through a business re-engineering process? I have been leading collaborative projects for more than 10 years with success. Contractors such as Willmott Dixon have re-engineered themselves, led by inspirational leaders. So let’s not keep putting Ray on a pedestal, let’s see how successful he is by seeing long-term change rather than by bestowing god-like status on a very ordinary company.
