Our learned friends Tony Bingham and Rudi Klein kick off our first ever podcast series this week with a debate on the future of the Construction Act.

Tony Bingham and Rudi Klein will make podcasting history in the coming week for Building.co.uk. These two legal columnists will kick off our first podcast series with a debate on the future of the Construction Act and the government’s long-awaited announcement that it will be amended in the next parliamentary session.

For readers yet to experience the delights of podcasts, now is your chance. Building’s legal podcast is a series of talks, interviews and debates featuring leading construction lawyers available as audio files.

In addition to the four pages of legal coverage we have in the magazine, there will now be two updates a month to the legal podcast. These will cover topics such as competition law and the OFT investigation, credit crunch advice, health and safety law, and key PFI cases.

To subscribe to the legal podcast you can use “podcatchers” such as iTunes, which will allow you to access the latest audio files as soon as new items are added. You can then download these files onto your computer or MP3 player and listen at your leisure.

Tony and Rudi’s views on improving payment practices and tightening up adjudication procedures will be available to download on Wednesday. The audio file will also be available on our website at www.building.co.uk/podcasts

And if all this talk of podcasts has piqued your interest, you may also like to know that iTunes’ most popular podcasts this month are as follows:

  • 1 Stephen Fry’s podgrams
  • 2 Best of Chris Moyles Enhanced
  • 3 Russell Brand
  • 4 Friday Night Comedy from BBC Radio 4
  • 5 The Ricky Gervais Podcast

Who knows, perhaps the Tony and Rudi double-act will squeeze into the podcast charts soon …
