Contractor is £64m clear of second-place Skanska, thanks to £100m Norwich factory job.
Bovis Lend Lease has nabbed top spot on the monthly contractors' league table with six contracts worth a total of £144m. The firm, which did not appear in the top 30 last month, rose to first place after winning a £100m contract at a former Nestlé factory in Norwich and a £30m office job in Ipswich.

Skanska also rejoined the top 30 after winning an £80m office contract in central London. A third newcomer, Simons, completed the top three.

Bovis and Sir Robert McAlpine are well clear from the rest in the yearly table. Carey Jones has knocked Foster off the architects' top spot, and English Partnerships and Sainsbury are by far the most important clients. Remember when that used to be Railtrack?
