Can hamburger fat really be a sustainable solution to power our homes?

Agri-Energy has revealed plans for a £50m plant in Wales that will convert fast food cooking oil and crops into enough electricity and bio-diesel to power 60,000 homes. But cooking oil and crops are already being used for bio-degradable chemicals and not everyone thinks there is enough to power our houses too without resorting back to fossil fuels or intensive farming. Does every green initiative have a price?
