Could consultant Ridge be the fastest QS on the track?
Building was left choking on petrol fumes at a recent endurance go-karting team organised by multi-disciplinary practice Ridge. The Oxford-based firm undertakes a lot of work for Formula 1 outfits such as Jaguar and Jordan, and also looks into the feasibility of building new F1 circuits in places such as Bahrain and Moscow.
It was no surprise then that Ridge handled the skittish go-karts best and took the team price. Ridge’s Guy Austin did the best impression of Michael Schumacher and overtook (and undertook) everybody else on the circuit with apparent ease. Special mention also to Ridge’s Mark Nieuwenhuys for ducking under the magic minute on six consecutive laps and for looking like a doppelganger for Eddie Jordan.
