Pomp rockers The Darkness have revealed their considerate side by installing mineral wool sound insulation in their Norfolk studio.

They may style themselves as the hardest rocking band in Britain, but The Darkness are in danger of damaging their camped-up, wildmen image after showing most un-rock’n’roll-like consideration for their neighbours by installing Rocksil Rock Mineral Wool Insulation at their new studio.

The sound-proofing for the studio, built in guitarist Dan Hawkin’s Norfolk farm, has been supplied by Knauf Insulation. The100-mm thick slabs are also non-combustible, so the genteel folk of East Anglia can be reassured that if the band decide to rehearse for any upcoming gigs, any pyrotechnics – unlike the flames tattooed across lead singer Justin’s belly – will be contained.
