This week’s sketch is a chalk drawing drawn to help envisage London Housing Design Guide standards

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Matt Brown and Jacob Sturdy, two Part I architectural assistants at bptw partnership, and Jack Perry and Tatiana Southrey-Bassols. Using chalk and masking tape they created a temporary drawing titled 23m2, to help envisage London Housing Design Guide standards (this is a typical living / kitchen / dining space according to standards). The piece was created in Peckham next to a multi-storey car park to get a view in plan, with the aim of seeing what these dimensions feel like at 1:1. Passers-by were then invited to walk through the living space.
