This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Richard Bassett, an architect at LSI Architects. The sketch illustrates LSI’s proposals for the 16-bed Fair Havens Hospice in Prittlewell, Southend. It looks across the site, showing the entrance to the right, day care/therapy to the centre and inpatient unit to the left.

The hospice will use sustainable materials as much as it can and is designed to be a welcoming, non-clinical place, encouraging normality and social interaction as much as possible and creating the ambience of a relaxing and healing environment.
