Baxi has worked with Bellway Homes to comply with a late amendment to planning permission for a site of 286 apartments in Fenney Stratford, Buckinghamshire
The requirement stipulated that 10% of the energy used be from renewable sources. Each apartment will have its own Baxi Solarflo flat-plate solar collector panel. It will also have a Heatrae Sadia Megatech twin-coil water storage cylinder with its own solar controller. The company says the Baxi Solarflo unit will provide up to 100% of a household’s hot water requirement in the summer, and 50-60% annually. Supplementary heating and hot water will be provided by a conventional boiler.
