Timed flow taps

Time-flow taps are used increasingly in commercial and public buildings to save water and energy, and to address concerns about possible cross-contamination from the MRSA bacteria and other infections. Temposoft self-closes after a run time of 15 seconds to prevent bacteria reinfecting the users’ hands. With a regulated flow rate at 4 litres per minute, water savings of about 70% are achieved compared with a traditional basin tap, according to Douglas Delabie. In the Temposoft AB, water flow only commences once the soft-touch button has been released, preventing deliberate flooding of the washroom area.
