Contractor picks up contracts with Scottish Courts Service and Leisure Connection.

Alfred McAlpine has won two public sector contracts worth a total of £35m.

Scottish Courts Services has appointed McAlpine to maintain 52 High Courts and Sheriff Courts in a five-year contract worth around £23.3m.

It also won a £12.7m contract to design and build a community centre in the Downham area of Lewisham for a PFI consortium including Leisure Connection Limited and Linteum Limited. Work will start in October and is scheduled to finish in March 2007.

Alfred McAlpine’s chief executive Ian Grice said: “These two contracts demonstrate the strength of our order book.”
