Manchester council carried out fresh remedial work earlier this month to Heatherwick Studio’s B of the Bang sculpture.
Engineers were reportedly forced to remove almost a dozen spikes for safety reasons. The council is taking Heatherwick and its structural subcontractors to court over issues with the £1.4m sculpture.
