BBC Scotland has submitted a planning application for a headquarters at Pacific Quay on the south bank of the Clyde. The David Chipperfield-designed building includes public spaces and amenities aimed at making the BBC more accessible to visitors. The HQ, which is due for completion by 2007, would be digitally equipped for national and international radio, television and interactive broadcasting and has 32,500 m2 of floorspace.
