The Royal Albert Hall was reopened by the Queen last week after a £70m redevelopment programme that took 10 years.

Building Design Partnership was commissioned in 1990 to devise a plan for the overhaul, the first since the venue was completed in 1871. The auditorium and foyers have been improved and the backstage accommodation upgraded. BDP was the engineer and cost consultant, Taylor Woodrow was the main contractor.
