Firms of all sizes encouraged to participate in latest listing that ranks consultants by size. Deadline for companies to submit is Friday 19 June
Building is launching its survey for its annual ranking of the Top 150 consultants for 2026 which offers unique insight and market intelligence on the state of the UK professional services sector.
The annual list covers companies employing quantity surveyors, surveyors, project managers, engineers and architects by fee turnover spanning small, limited companies and partnerships to multinational PLCs. The size of companies stretches from £100,000 to more than £1bn in turnover. The Top 150 also provides a breakdown of the chartered specialists into separate listings by firms employing those specialisms. The online tables are sortable by a range of metrics, including fee income, staff and number of offices.
The survey includes sentiment questions that will cover market conditions, skills, the growing use of artificial intelligence in construction, IT security and political and policy conditions currently facing the sector.
Building editorial director Chloe Mcculloch said: “The Top 150 consultants listing offers vital information and insight into the sector – particularly in such uncertain economic and political conditions that we face.

“We rely on as many firms as possible to participate and put themselves forward to give as clear a picture of the sector as possible. So please do make sure you take part this year regardless of your size.”
The deadline for completing the survey is Friday 19 June. Companies can start filling in the survey and return to complete it at a later date ahead of the deadline.
