Move sees staff decrease from 110 to 93 and Christian Candy resign as director

Nick and Christian Candy’s interior design and development company Candy & Candy Holdings lost £889,735 in the year to 30 June 2010, its latest accounts show.

The loss is more severe than last year, when the firm lost £547,325, while turnover in 2010 almost halved, slumping from £19m to £8.6m.

The staff at the firm, which is behind the £1bn “super-prime” One Hyde Park apartments, decreased from 110 to 93.

Christian Candy also resigned from the company as a director, which the firm said was part of a restructure.

He will oversee CPC, the brothers’ development group, while Nick Candy takes charge of Candy + Candy.
