Curtain walling firm fails to find a buyer, putting more than a hundred staff out of work

More than one hundred jobs will be lost at curtain walling specialist CAP Aluminium after administrators failed to find a buyer for the firm, which went into receivership last month.

The West Bromwich firm called in administrators Kroll at the end of October after suffering from falling sales. The firm has worked on a series of high-profile projects, including the Welsh National Assembly.

The administrator has confirmed 125 of 140 staff will lose their jobs as a buyer for the firm has not been found. The remaining staff will be retained to assist with winding down the company.
