Regency Building Services takes council to court over unpaid invoices and retentions

Building and maintenance company Regency Building Sevices is suing the City of Westminster for more than £188,000 in a row over work.

The company has carried out projects for the council for many years, but says invoices have been paid late, and that the council has not released retention money even after final certificates have been issued.

Now Regency is suing the City of Westminster for £171,251 for unpaid invoices, retention money, and VAT, £1,110 for statutory compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, £15,939.06 interest, and interest running at £59.82 a day.
