The secretary of state for transport has joined forces with CTRL (UK) to sue Esso Petroleum Co and Roadchef Motorways.

They are seeking declarations over the land-take and acquisition of rights under various notices to treat in a dispute centring around land at the Maidstone motorway service area at Hollingbourne in Kent.
