The sport and leisure arm of QS Franklin + Andrews has been appointed cost consultant for London's bid to host the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012.
The London bid was shortlisted by the International Olympic Committee earlier this month, along with four others.

Franklin Sports Business has worked on numerous sporting projects, including Wembley stadium in north-west London; the refurbishment of Craven Cottage, Fulham football club's ground in west London; the Great Leighs racecourse in mid-Essex; and Harlow leisure centre, also in Essex.

FSB director Barry Winterton said the appointment reflected Franklin + Andrews' "unrivalled expertise" in the sports sector.

He said: "We are extremely excited to be doing our part to bring the games to London in 2012. This involves working with some of the industry's leading sport and leisure advisers."

FSB is also working on SkyVenture, the UK's first skydiving simulator, which is in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
