Gallifrod Try has won a place on Yorkshire Water’s £330m framework to upgrade water and waste water treatment works.

In a joint venture with Aecom, the contractor and housebuilder will undertake major upgrade works as well as schemes to improve the quality of bathing water on the east coast of Yorkshire.

The joint venture has already been awarded its first two schemes worth a combined £25m which involve upgrading the Acomb Landing water treatment works in York and Caldervale waste water treatment works in Wakefield.

Greg Fitzgerald, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our long-standing relationship with Yorkshire Water with a service for their large schemes framework.”
