The survey to reveal the construction industry's best companies to work for is now open

Now in its fourth year, Building’s Good Employer Guide lets everyone in the industry know which are the very best companies to work for. Now, for the first time, it is open to firms that are not based in the UK.

As the tough times continue, keeping your edge in the market by attracting and retaining the most skilled employees is ever more important. Motivation, training and pastoral care are central to the performance of staff and their firms, as they adapt to the pressures of the new economic climate.

We are now beginning to compile our 2010 guide – entry is open to all firms that would qualify for inclusion in our list of top 250 consultants and top 150 contractors and housebuilders, as well as specialist contractors. Your firm does not have to be based in the UK, but must employ at least 30 people in non-support rolesin the UK and each must have an individual company email address, as the winners will be based on a confidential staff survey.

The Good Employer Guide will be published with Building in October. It will also be available as a digital edition on our website, and will be sent to universities and final-year students. If you feel you’ve got what it takes to be among the industry’s elite, click here. The closing date for entries is Tuesday 6 April.
