Final piece of Greengate cluster will deliver 518 homes

Salford planning officials have given the green light for a third residential tower in the Colliers Yard neighbourhood in Greengate.

The 41-storey Parkside development, which joins the Bankside and Cortland towers, will deliver 518 new homes of various sizes, as well as 11,000 sq ft of commercial space across five ground floor units.

When complete, the trio of towers at Colliers Yard will provide nearly 1,500 homes. The latest tower given the OK is the 41-storey Parkside (middle)

Designed by local practice Denton Corker Marshall for Manchester developer Renaker, which has its own construction arm, Parkside will feature bronze aluminium panelling across four main vertical pillars and a two-storey brick podium.

Work is set to begin next February and run for four years.

The 51-storey Cortland tower is at fit-out stage, while the 43-storey Bankside block is in the early stages of construction. Once complete, the trio will provide nearly 1,500 homes.

The project team also features M&E consultant Hoare Lea, TPM Landscaping, Element Sustainability and multi-disciplinary consultant Curtins.
