HBG chief executive Brian May has left the construction company after two-and-a-half years after a restructuring by its Dutch parent company, Royal BAM Group.
Royal BAM said in a statement that it intended to strengthen the position of its UK companies by bringing HBG Construction and civil engineer Edmund Nuttall closer together.

Peter Brooks, the chief executive officer of Edmund Nuttall, has been appointed executive chairman of both companies.

Both Edmund Nuttall and HBG Construction occupy leading positions within their sectors and employ more than 4000 staff in the UK. The combined turnover of the companies and their subsidiaries exceeds £1.2bn.

In the statement, Royal BAM said: "The combination of the two companies will offer the market a comprehensive range of high performance skills and resources across the construction sector."
