Education specialists ready to begin work on three new schools in Kent.

Consortium KEP (Kent Education Partnership) has reached financial close on its part of the £92m Kent Grouped Schools PFI project for Kent County Council.

The consortium, made up of Costain Education and Construction Limited, Bilfinger Berger BOT Limited and William Verry Limited, will be responsible for designing and building three out of six schools in a deal worth approximately £46m.

Andrew Wyllie, chief executive of Costain, said: “we’re delighted to have reached financial close on this sizeable project, Education is a key for the group as we continue to focus on sectors in which we have a well-developed skills base and extensive experience.”
