Laing O'Rourke, Carillion and Taylor Woodrow are lining up to secure a £50m housing contract as part of the Arsenal stadium development in north London.
The scheme is the second of five large housing projects associated with the stadium, all of which are being negotiated by Wilson Connolly's development arm.

The first was let to Wimpey earlier this month.

It is understood that some bidders are concerned that the tendering process will be influenced by Taywood's takeover of Wilson Connolly last month.

Wilson Connolly refused to comment.

Arsenal is expected to announce publicly that funds for its new stadium at Ashburton Grove, being constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine, have been secured.

It is understood that the McAlpine family was considering part-funding the scheme, but decided against it.
