This £8.2m community centre in Sutton, south London, has received planning permission

The Sutton Life Centre, designed by Curl la Tourelle Architects and Land Design Studio, is set be completed in 2010. The scheme includes a library, space for youth activities, sports facilities, media laboratory and a garden. It also has a space where images can be projected onto the walls, accompanied to teach children about topics such as safety on the street and in the home, and the dangers of drugs. The contractor is Mansell Construction Services and the client is the London Borough of Sutton.
