But building products supplier says underlying profit headed north
Building products and insulation supplier SIG said pre-tax losses widened last year on revenue flat at £2.6bn.
In results this morning, the firm’s chief executive Pim Vervaat said: “In 2025 the Group delivered a robust trading performance in continued difficult market conditions and good progress in improving the underlying performance and profitability of our businesses.

“Cost reduction initiatives delivered a £39m saving which enabled us to deliver 28% growth in underlying operating profit despite the challenging market backdrop.”
Pre-tax losses widened from £45m to £62m but underlying operating profit was up 28% to £32m.
