Simon Bourne confirmed to top role after being in interim post since last November

Building products firm Marshalls has appointed chief commercial officer Simon Bourne as chief executive after former boss Matt Pullen stepped down last November.

Bourne has been doing the job on an interim basis since but his appointment to the role full time was confirmed this morning as the firm issued an update on 2025 trading.

In it, the firm said group revenue for the year would be 2% up to £632 with adjusted pre-tax profit of around £43.6m which it said was in line with expectations.

Marshalls added: “While the group is not anticipating a significant improvement in market activity levels during the next 12 months, the actions taken to reduce the cost base during 2025 give the board confidence that the group will deliver an improved financial performance in 2026.”

Marshalls will announce its full-year results on 16 March.
