Construction to start this May

McAleer & Rushe has won a £47m office project in the middle of Leeds that will eventually be occupied by law firm DLA Piper.

The 12-storey scheme, next door to the city’s main railway station, has been designed by Todd Architects and will run across 140,000 sq ft of space.

There will be roof terraces on the 4th, 5th and 6th levels and extensive cycling, electric vehicle and e-bike charging point facilities.

Called City Square House, DLA Piper will take 83,000 sq ft of space bringing the firm’s activities under one roof. It currently works out of two offices in the city.

Work is due to start in May and finish at the end of 2023. Developer is MRP.
