A regeneration scheme, claimed to be Manchester’s largest ever, has got the green light.

Outline plans for the 95 acre Holt Town Waterfront, submitted by developer Cibitas Investments, include 4,300 homes over the next 10-15 years, as well as a school, offices, shops and restaurants. A tram stop will also be built for the scheme, a mile east of the city centre. It is being delivered in partnership with urban regeneration company New East Manchester and Manchester council and is expected to release its first sites to market this year.
