Mayor Ken Livingstone’s London Development Agency has launched a competition today to name the footbridge in Wembley, which will link the national stadium to the town centre.

People have until 15 March to answer the question: “What’s the most significant name or moment in Wembley’s history?” Suggestions go to the LDA at www.lda.gov.uk/wembley. The footbridge, designed by Marks Barfield, will open out onto a square a few hundred metres from the stadium, which is to be a meeting point on match days.
