New firm to target global clients

Engineer Atkins and consultant CH2M Hill are to support Network Rail in a new international consultancy business .

The new business, called Network Rail Consultancy, will offer advice on project management, asset management, strategic planning and operations and maintenance.

The consultancy will focus on countries such as the US and India which have large aging rail networks in need of modernisation.

The firm said there would be opportunity for partner consultants in markets such as Brazil, northern Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Australia.
