The Olympic Delivery Authority wins Client and Supply Chain of the Year while David Higgins is named Personality of the Year

The Olympic Delivery Authority was the big winner at last night’s 2011 Building Awards. The team responsible for building the 2012 Olympic Games was named Client of the Year, while its former chief executive David Higgins won Personality of the Year.

It also picked up the award for Integrated Supply Chain of the Year at the Grosvenor hotel last night.

The other individual prize went to Balfour Beatty’s Ian Tyler who was named Chief Executive of the Year.

In other categories Berkeley Homes won best housebuilder for the second successive year while Willmott Dixon scooped large Contractor of the Year.

Gleeds were named large Consultant of the Year and Bennetts Associates truimphed in the Architect of the Year category.

In the best project categories Chelsea Academy designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios won best Public Project and Arundel Square, by Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects won Housing Project of the Year.

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre by Bennetts Associates won Project of the Year, and the East London Line was named Infrastructure Project of the Year.
