Hopkins Architects has posted a 4% fall in pre-tax profit from £1.82m to £1.75m in the year ended 31 March 2008.

Despite the slight drop, which was the result of higher administrative expenses, turnover jumped 27% from £8m to £10.1m.

In documents filed at Companies House this week, the company said it was a “satisfactory” performance.

The group ended the year with net funds of £2.2m, which was 8% down on the previous year’s figure of £2.4m.

The UK contributed £8.5m to turnover, Europe £1.3m and the rest of the world £327,000.

The pay of the highest-paid director rose 5% from £196,000 to £205,500. The average number of employees rose from 103 to 110.
