Architect Aukett Europe has won an urban design competition to regenerate the 11 ha site of a former power station in Rotterdam.
The scheme, with an estimated first-phase construction value of £75m, will include 8000 m2 of leisure and retail space, 10,000 m2 of office space, 200 apartments and a 200-bed hotel. The win coincides with the architect's launch of its masterplan for the 185 ha Val d'Europe business park, outside Paris, for Arlington Securitie.
