Nicholas Wrigley becomes non-executive director at housbuilder.

Housebuilder Persimmon has appointed a top city banker from Rothschild's as a non-executive director.

Nicholas Wrigley, 50, is a managing director of Rothschild London and a member of its Global Investment Banking Committee and Global Management Committee.

He has over 20 years M&A experience at Rothschild including three years in Australia. Before joining Rothschild he qualified as an accountant in Bradford and worked for Peat Marwick Mitchell in Hong Kong.

Duncan Davidson, chairman of Persimmon, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicholas to the Board. He has a wealth of experience and expertise which will be of great benefit to Persimmon as we continue to develop our business.”

Mr Wrigley was formerly a director of 4 Imprint Group Plc having resigned on the 30 December 2002.
