The Marylebone Cricket Club drops Grosvenor and Londonewcastle from bid process

Marylebone Cricket Club has cut Grosvenor and Londonewcastle from the shortlist of developers bidding for the £400m redevelopment of Lord’s cricket ground, according to reports.

The decision by the MCC means that developers Native Land, Capital and Counties and Almacantar are still in the running for the prestigious, Herzog de Meuron-designed project. Almacantar is the developer set up by the former Land Securities London boss Mike Hussey.

Grosvenor told Property Week it was not still on the shortlist for Lord’s, and Londonewcastle added it respected the MCC’s decision not to pick them for the job.
