A new social hub will be built as part of the revamp

It will include 50 new student bedrooms and refurbishing the grade II-listed Furness Lodge to upgrade social facilities including music practice rooms and a college bar.

Others working on the scheme include M&E engineer Skelly & Couch, project manager Bidwells, QS Faithful + Gould and landscape architect Bradley-Hole Schoenaich.

The college said the work will be largest undertaken since it completed the North Court building in 1914.
