The Phaeno Centre in Wolfsburg, Germany, designed by Zaha Hadid, is one of six buildings shortlisted for this year’s Stirling Prize for Architecture.

The other five are Brick House by Caruso St John Architects; Evelina hospital by Hopkins Architects; Idea Store by Adjaye/Associates; and the Welsh assembly and Barajas airport, both by Richard Rogers Partnership.
